Our Visitors Day is proven a success today (1 Aug 08)!

Althought the turn out is as expected, the visitos are really participants and genuine networkers who are keen to expand their business.

The networking session after the meeting is proven more fruitful… Some visitors found business alliances here and I can already see a strong synergy between them. Some visitors are impressed by the meeting and apparently planning to come for the 2nd time and considering joining the chapter.

Members will know by now that we have a very special friend who frequent our chapter’s meeting, offering all visitors, members and newly sign-up members, special perks for this coming 1 Aug 2008 Raffles Visitors Day!


I shall not disclose his name only afraid we might end up creating unnecessary problem for his generosity. But everyone should know that you WILL BE REWARDED HANDSOMELY by this generous BNI member!

This is a pot-luck event! Every member must think of a dish and bring to the picnic to share with all members!

An email has already been sent out to all members on this event! Please reply email to event coordinator - Kelly Chua, on the number of people that you are bringing to this event (so that we can all estimated the food proportion) and also what food you will be bringing (so that we do not have duplicate food).

Invitation is also extended to member’s family member!

Wow, 550 members from BNI all over the world (as ulu as Alaska) are converging at the renowned KLCC next week 28-29 May.

I am looking forward to 2 days of learning and meeting them including Ivan Misner. Wow WoW !

The organisers at BNI Malaysia is expecting this event to be the largest international BNI networking event of 2008 with MILLIONS worth of referrals to be generated in just two days. WOW WOW WOW!

We’re having a social get-together 3rd Nov 2007. Please inform Kelly if you’ll be able to attend!

21 Sep 2007 marks the starting of Raffles Chapter’s first Visitor’s Day. We opted for an unusual practice, that is to meet all members and business associates in the EVENING instead of the usual 0730 hrs morning meeting. This was intentionally done so that more people can turn up and experience the “wonders” of BNI network and system.

All members were dress in M.W.I.B. (Man Women In Black). The show was proven a success when 26 visitors turned up that night. Everyone had a good time networking and exploring more about each other’s businesses. Some visitors was so impressed they want to embark on the membership right away.

Mr Sim Chow Boon - our Founding National Director from BNI Singapore came to our chapter today, bringing with him a member from BNI Indonesia (Mr Ivan Soeria Atmadja from One Page Career Service).

03 Aug is a “special day” because Rafflesian will be filming our 60 second Sales Manager Minute today. Everyone was all dress up for d-day… Unfortunately, Kelly (the cameraman) realized that no audio was captured when she loaded the file for editing. The camera must have mulfunctioned (mic problem).

So sorry guys! We have to “dress up” and retake the videos again. This is a good news for some who think they did “badly” in front of the camera today… And it could be a bad news for those who knew they gave their best shot already. Bad news for Felix Chua, who got crowned “Mr NG” today. He will have to retake his video and get over his shyness facing Kelly’s camera.
